Covering a difference in height of 1300 meters, from the shores of Lake Maggiore in few minutes we reach the top of Mottarone, a mountain that separates Lake Orta from Lake Maggiore. On a day with blue sky we can enjoy an excellent all-round view over the Piedmontese and Lombard lakes, Mount Rosa, the valley of River Po and the Apennines. From the intermediate station you can reach the botanical garden Alpinia, dedicated to the flora of the Alps.
