Cruise on the Lake of Orta
A half an hour cruise on Lake Orta is a charming way of visiting this little lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern Italy. It allows you to see the fronts of the 19th Century mansions facing the lake with their gardens, parks and berths. After sailing around the Island San Giulio there is the possibility to visit it, walking along the only lane on the island and visiting the medieval Basilica. Inside the church are frescoes of different centuries and there is a masterpiece of the Romanesque sculpture, a pulpit carved in serpentine stone dating back to 1.100.
